Dario Schierloh on the beach in Paje, Zanzibar

My name is Dario Schierloh – and when I first came to Zanzibar in 2022, it was pure curiosity and wanderlust.

What began as a gut feeling became my first real estate investment on the East Coast. Since then, I've built strong relationships with local developers, government agencies, and politicians through further investments.

From my own experience, I know what is important and what it entails to gain a foothold on another continent in another culture.

Today, I help others make informed decisions, avoid risks, and choose promising projects with a sense of proportion.

In addition to my work as an investment advisor, I'm also socially involved in Zanzibar: I founded the Pound4Pound Foundation, a non-profit initiative that offers children new opportunities off the streets through boxing training and sports programs. For me, this project is an expression of long-term commitment—not only financially, but also socially.

Invest safely - with a contact who really knows the market and an island with a magical history

Find out here what makes Zanzibar so special – economically, culturally and emotionally.

Warum Zanzibar?

Zanzibar not only stands for dream beaches and a holiday feeling – but also for a real estate market with enormous growth potential.

Since my first visit in 2022, I have observed how the island is increasingly developing into an attractive investment location.

Zanzibar is not only economically fascinating, but above all culturally: The island is a unique mix of African, Arabic and Indian influences – noticeable in the architecture, in everyday life and especially in Stone Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Anyone who invests here becomes part of a place with history, character and real substance.

I have invested here myself and know that with the right local contact, a lot can be achieved – safely, transparently and with perspective.

Why DALALI?

Dalali originally comes from Arabic (dallāl) and means “broker” or “intermediary”.

Through Persian, it entered many South Asian languages such as Hindi, Urdu and Bengali, where it still means “brokerage” or “commission”.

The word also lives on in Swahili – as a term for “broker” or “auctioneer”, embedded in the urban trading practices of East Africa and thus of course also in Zanzibar.

Dalali tells the story of a word that connects cultures and builds a bridge between people and businesses worldwide.
